Alton Man Charged With Felony Driving While Revoked in Calhoun County

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office said Shannon D. Tarvin, 49, was stopped June 16, 2026, on South Park Street in Hardin and later released with a notice to appear.

HARDIN - A 49-year-old Alton man was arrested June 16 after a Calhoun County sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on South Park Street in Hardin, authorities said.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office said the stop occurred at approximately 8:06 p.m. on June 16, 2026, in Hardin, Calhoun County. The driver, Shannon D. Tarvin, was charged with felony driving while revoked.

Tarvin was arrested without incident and transported to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, where he was processed and released with a notice to appear at the Calhoun County Courthouse.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
