Huebner serves as the Girls Head Wrestling Coach and Assistant Boys Coach for the Civic Memorial High School Eagles in Bethalto. Under his leadership, the school’s girls wrestling program has qualified several athletes for sectional tournaments, and he has been recognized locally as Coach of the Month.

A 2005 Civic Memorial graduate, Huebner was a standout wrestler for the Eagles. He earned IHSA Class AA All-State honors by placing fifth in the 160-pound division in 2005 and later competed for Missouri Valley College.

His wrestling career continued beyond high school and college. Huebner has achieved black belt status in jiu-jitsu. In 2018, he represented Team USA in combat wrestling and won first place.

Huebner’s trip to Kazakhstan marks another international competition in a career that has included success as both an athlete and coach in the Bethalto-area wrestling community.
