Marquette Catholic Rolls Past Gibault 8-0 To Stay Unbeaten

Explorers improved to 5-0 with an 8-0 boys soccer victory at Waterloo, using a balanced attack to overwhelm Gibault Catholic on Tuesday.

WATERLOO — Marquette Catholic stayed unbeaten Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, at Waterloo, defeating Gibault Catholic 8-0 in a boys soccer matchup behind a balanced scoring effort.

Marquette’s goals were credited to Parker Belchik, James Fischer, Parker Hough and Eli Baggio.

Blchik scored an unanswered goal to open the scoring. Belchik followed with a goal assisted by Parker Hough and another assisted by Evan Brown. Fischer scored off an assist from Parker Belchik, then added another goal with an assist from Belchik.

Hough scored with an assist from Fischer. Baggio scored with an assist from William Waters, and Hough added another goal assisted by Carson Klasner.

The Explorers are slated to be home on Thursday, Sept. 3, against Maryville Christian.

Marquette, 5-0, travels to Freeburg for a matchup Saturday, Sept. 5. The team hosts Metro East Lutheran on Sept. 8 and travels to Father McGivney on Sept. 10.
