Father McGivney's Varsity Girls Volleyball Team Outlasts Calhoun In Three Sets
Emerson Isringhausen, Maddie Durst play key roles in victory over Warriors.
GLEN CARBON — Father McGivney Catholic High School’s Lady Griffins swept Calhoun last night in Glen Carbon, with the freshman, junior varsity, and varsity teams each picking up wins as the program continued its season behind what Coach Jake Williams described as an exceptional effort.
The freshman team won 2-0, and the junior varsity team also won 2-0. The varsity Griffins defeated Calhoun 2-1, rallying after dropping the first set to win 18-25, 28-26, 25-17.

The varsity team finished strong after the opening-set loss to secure the win.
Father McGivney is 6-2 overall this season. The Lady Griffins are scheduled to host Roxana on Monday, Sept. 7, 2026. Roxana enters the matchup with a 3-4 overall record.
