Three Lucky Day Lotto jackpot-winning tickets sold in Illinois over Labor Day weekend

The Illinois Lottery said the three winning Lucky Day Lotto tickets, sold in Saint Charles, Chicago and online, totaled more than $850,000 in prizes.

CHICAGO — Illinois Lottery players had a notable Labor Day weekend, with three Lucky Day Lotto® jackpot-winning tickets sold across the state, winning more than $850,000 in prizes.

The winning tickets matched all five numbers in drawings held on Friday, September 4 and Sunday, September 6.

Details of the Lucky Day Lotto jackpot-winning tickets include:

  • Friday, September 4 - Midday Drawing: A ticket matching all five numbers — 8-9-15-33-38 — won a $550,000 jackpot. The winning ticket was purchased at a Shell gas station, located at 307 W. Main St. in Saint Charles.
  • Friday, September 4 - Evening Drawing: An online player matched all five numbers — 3-12-19-32-35 — to win a $100,000 jackpot, along with an additional $17 in secondary prizes on the same ticket.
  • Sunday, September 6 - Midday Drawing: A ticket matched all five numbers — 1-4-20-24-27 — won a $200,000 jackpot, plus an additional $2 in secondary prizes on the same ticket. The winning ticket was sold at Tony's Fresh Market, located at 2500 N. Central Ave. in Chicago.

Illinois Lottery retailers that sell winning tickets receive a bonus equal to one percent of the prize amount.

As a result, Shell in Saint Charles will receive a $5,500 bonus, and Tony's Fresh Market in Chicago will receive a $2,000 bonus.

So far this year, more than eight million winning Lucky Day Lotto tickets have been sold statewide, with players claiming over $47 million in prizes.

Lucky Day Lotto winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prizes. The Illinois Lottery encourages all winners to write their name on the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they’re ready to claim their prize.

Lucky Day Lotto is an Illinois-only draw game with two daily drawings at 12:40 p.m. and 9:22 p.m., and jackpots starting at $100,000. Tickets are available in-store, online, and via the Illinois Lottery app.
