Luke Closer Works Hard and Helps Others at Civic Memorial High School

BETHALTO - Luke Clouser knows the value of hard work.

For his accomplishments, Luke Clouser is a DD Homes Network Student of the Month for Civic Memorial High School.

Clouser, a senior, is heavily involved in the school’s athletic program. He plays both baseball and football. He was previously named the football team’s Most Valuable Player for offense.

It takes a lot of responsibility to balance school and sports, but Clouser does this gracefully. He is a respected student athlete who understands the value of both athletics and academics.

Clouser represents and advocates for his classmates as a member of the student council. He is a natural leader in this role. He also participates with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Though he certainly stays busy, Clouser spends his free time hanging out with friends, riding dirt bikes, and fishing. He also makes money by cutting grass and has worked on construction sites during his summer breaks.

He knows exactly what he plans to do after high school. Just as they do when he’s on the field, his loved ones and teachers will be cheering him on.

“[I plan to] join the union and become a lineman,” he shared.
