Midwest Members Credit Union Male Athlete Of The Month: Roxana Runner Noah Crump Sets Pace For State Push

ROXANA - Roxana High School senior Noah Crump has opened the fall 2026 cross country season with two medal-winning performances for the Shells, helping the boys team to notable finishes at the Granie City Invite and the First to the Finish Invitational as he works toward a goal of qualifying for and excelling at state.

At the Granie City Invite recently, the Roxana boys placed ninth, their highest finish ever at the meet. Crump medaled in 20th place, running 15:40.0 for three miles, which is now his personal best.

The Shells followed with a strong showing this past weekend at the First to the Finish Invitational at Detweiler Park. The boys placed 15th out of 67 teams, with Crump earning another medal by finishing 24th in 15:50.1 for three miles.

Crump is a Midwest Members Credit Union Male Athlete Of The Month for the Shells.

Crump is coming off a junior season in which he advanced to state after placing 31st at the IHSA Trenton-Wesclin Sectional with a time of 16:45.1.

His coaches said his goal for 2026 is not only to qualify for state again, but to excel there.
