Mustache March 4PD Donates Funds To 15 Police Departments

Fifteen departments will receive funding for tools ranging from safety gear to drones, as organizers continue building support for area law enforcement.

ALTON — Mustache March 4PD recently presented donations to local police chiefs and officers during its annual check presentation, distributing funds to support 15 local police departments with equipment, resources, and other needs.

The organization said the money will be used for items including safety equipment, K-9 resources, red-dot firearms, drones, fitness equipment and other departmental needs. MM4PD said the funds also will help send local officers to National Police Week in Washington, D.C.

Mustache March 4PD said its mission is to raise funds for local police departments through a volunteer group of individuals. The organization said its goal is to steadily increase assistance available to local police and create a pro-law enforcement community.

MM4PD said the family’s BASH fundraiser in June made “an incredibly generous contribution,” helping bring this year’s fundraising total to $100,000.

The organization credited more than 300 donors, including businesses, friends, families and community members, for supporting its mission.

MM4PD also thanked Simmons for hosting the event, Nicky G’s for providing food, and Café LaNae and Rachel Peters of Baked by Rach for desserts.
