Metro East Officers Mark New Career Milestones
Edwardsville and Collinsville police departments celebrated two emerging officers this week as one took an oath of office and another completed academy training.
EDWARDSVILLE/COLLINSVILLE - Two Metro East police officers reached career milestones this week, with Cole Wesley Meyer taking the oath of office as Edwardsville’s newest police officer at Tuesday’s City Council meeting and Collinsville Officer Brayden Dreyer graduating from Session 159 of the Southwestern Illinois College Police Academy before entering field training.

Meyer’s oath ceremony was witnessed by family, friends and fellow Edwardsville Police Department officers, according to the city of Edwardsville.
Meyer graduated from the police academy earlier this month and will serve the Edwardsville community as part of the department.
The Collinsville Police Department congratulated Dreyer on his graduation from the Southwestern Illinois College Police Academy.
Dreyer will now enter the department’s 14-week Field Training Program, according to Collinsville police.
