Pelletier, Klaas Power Warriors Offensive Efforts: Calhoun Volleyball Rallies Past Triopia/Virginia For Fifth Conference Win
Lilly Pelletier has 13 kills, Camryn Klaas delivered a critical serving run after Triopia/Virginia grabbed match point, helping Calhoun protect its unbeaten conference mark.
CONCORD - Calhoun overcame a slow start on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026, on the road against Triopia/Virginia, winning 19-25, 25-16, 27-25 to earn its fifth conference win and 10th match victory of the season.

The win moved Calhoun to 5-0 in conference play.
“It wasn’t our prettiest match, but the girls battled through and found a way to pull out the win at the end again,” Calhoun head coach Missy Zipprich said.
Zipprich said Calhoun fell behind early in the opening set.
“We started the first set slowly, allowing Triopia to jump out to a 3–11 lead,” Zipprich said. “Errors continued to hurt us, and we found ourselves down 13–20. The girls fought hard to make a late comeback, but we came up short, 19–25.”
Calhoun responded in the second set with a 25-16 win.
“We woke up in the second set and came out dominating,” Zipprich said. “Our passing was much more controlled, which allowed us to get our offense going and start putting down some kills.”
The third set tightened after Calhoun led 22-17. Triopia/Virginia cut the deficit and later moved ahead 25-24 before Calhoun closed out the match 27-25.
“We thought we had the third set in the bag with a 22–17 lead, but Triopia found our holes and worked its way back,” Zipprich said. “A tough serving run closed the gap to 23–21 and eventually put them ahead 25–24. Camryn Klaas stepped up with a strong serving run of her own, helping us battle back and finish the set with a 27–25 victory.”
Zipprich said the match showed Calhoun’s ability to respond late.
“It wasn’t always pretty, but again we showed some fight when it mattered most,” she said.
Lilly Pelletier led Calhoun with 13 kills and added two aces. Klaas, Riley Pohlman and Grace Hurley each had three kills. Annie Wilson had three aces.
Calhoun faces Carlinville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18 in the New Berlin Tournament, then Athens and Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., respectively.
