WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has awarded U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) its prestigious Champion of the Industry Award. Presented annually to a bipartisan group of congressional leaders, AEM’s Champion of the Industry Award recognizes policymakers who have demonstrated exceptional leadership in advancing policies that strengthen America's manufacturing base and promote economic growth in communities across the country. Senator Duckworth was awarded this recognition alongside U.S. Representative Nikki Budzinski (D-Ill.), U.S. Representative Brad Finstad (R-Minn.), and U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.).

"The equipment manufacturing industry builds a stronger, more prosperous future for America, and that future depends on leaders who are willing to stand up for the people who make progress possible,” said Kip Eideberg, AEM Senior Vice President of Government and Industry Relations. “Representatives Budzinski and Finstad and Senators Duckworth and Fischer have earned this recognition through their unwavering commitment to policies that empower equipment manufacturers to innovate, compete globally, create family-sustaining jobs, and invest in the communities they call home. They are true champions of the industry and of the workers who keep America moving forward.”

“Whether it’s farming, construction or infrastructure development, our equipment manufacturers help keep so many American industries running,” said Sen. Duckworth. “I’m proud to be honored with this year's Champions of the Industry Award, and I look forward to continuing to work with the Association of Equipment Manufacturers to help ensure these businesses have the resources they need to thrive and continue strengthening our economy.”
