Bost Announces $1 Million In EPA Funding For Teutopolis Water Main Replacement

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) today announced that $1 million has been secured through the Environmental Protection Agency for water main replacement projects in Teutopolis.

“Reliable water infrastructure is something every community depends on,” said Bost. “The funding will help Teutopolis replace aging water lines to strengthen an essential service for families and businesses across the village. Making sure our communities have access to clean and safe water is a basic responsibility.”

Teutopolis’ existing water system has started to degrade, leaving some homes with discolored water, low water pressure and unpleasant odors. This funding will replace approximately 21,000 lineal feet of old cast iron water lines installed in the 1940’s.
