Flock Food Truck Park Celebrates Fall and Holiday Season in Downtown Alton
Flock’s fifth and final season brings live music, Halloween festivities, FLOCK*D, four Brunch’n with Santa events and more to 210 Ridge Street through Dec. 20.
ALTON — Flock Food Truck Park & Bar is heading into fall with a packed calendar of food, cocktails, live music, community events and holiday traditions, giving guests plenty of reasons to gather at 210 Ridge Street throughout the final months of 2026.

The season will carry Flock from September live music and special events through Halloween and the return of FLOCK*D, its annual holiday pop-up, before concluding Dec. 20. It will also mark Flock’s fifth and final season in Downtown Alton.
“We have so much planned between now and December, and that is where my attention is right now,” said Laura Windisch, who operates Flock. “Fall and the holidays are some of our favorite times at Flock. We get to bring people together for live music, Halloween, great food and drinks, and then completely transform the space for FLOCK*D and our Santa brunches. We want people to come out, have fun and make the most of this season with us.”
September
Flock continues its Friday night live music series through September, along with special events and school fundraiser dine-out nights.
Sept. 23: D&D Night, 5:30-10 p.m. Three Dungeon Masters will lead an evening of Dungeons & Dragons with a themed bar menu, music and food trucks. Tickets include a seat at one of the campaigns, a drink ticket and a set of dice.
Sept. 24: Trivia 7pm Free general knowledge trivia for teams up to 6
Sept. 25: MadBaileys, 6-9 p.m. Friday night live music at Flock.
October
October brings a full month of music, food and Halloween programming to Flock. Thursday trivia nights continue with a special UCBC Oktoberfest edition October 15th.
Oct. 2: LoveBuzz, 6-9 p.m. Friday night live music.
Oct. 9: Bedlam Brothers, 6-9 p.m. Friday night live music.
Oct. 16: Left Hand Cowboy, 6-9 p.m. Friday night live music.
Oct. 17: UCBC Oktoberfest 11am-2pm. Live music, UCBC Biergarten Trailer, stein holding competition and more
Oct. 18: Downtown Alton Chili Cook-Off, noon-3 p.m. Presented by Alton Main Street, the annual event brings amateur and professional teams together to compete for prizes and the People’s Choice silver ladle. Guests can sample chili from participating teams, with live music from Psychedelic Symphony.
Oct. 21: Ghoul’s Night Out 5pm-9pm Themed drinks, Halloween music and high spirits! All ages.
Oct. 23: MadBaileys, 6-9 p.m. Friday night live music.
Oct. 31: Alton Halloween Parade. Flock will once again serve as a gathering place for the annual Downtown Alton tradition.
Additional October programming includes skating events with Skate Culture, Flocktoberfest with Urban Chestnut and other seasonal events.
November and December
The holidays officially arrive at Flock on Sunday November 29th, with the opening day of FLOCK*D, its annual holiday pop-up.
November: Trivia nights. Two trivia events are planned, with dates and details to be announced. (Trivia Nov. 5, 12 & 19. Live music Fridays and Saturdays through Nov. 21)
Nov. 29: Brunch’n with Santa. 10am-2pm The first of four holiday brunches.
Dec 3: FLOCK*D opening night. Flock transforms for the holidays with seasonal décor, specialty cocktails and mocktails, food and holiday programming.
Dec. 6: Brunch’n with Santa.
Dec. 13: Brunch’n with Santa.
Dec. 20: Brunch’n with Santa.
- Flock’s popular holiday tradition closes out the season.
Brunch’n with Santa has historically sold out, giving families four opportunities to celebrate the holidays at Flock this year. Additional November and December programming will be announced throughout the season.
Flock will continue operating through Dec. 20.
A final season and a new chapter
Flock opened in 2022 as a new kind of gathering place for Downtown Alton, combining rotating food trucks, a full bar, live entertainment and community programming in an outdoor setting overlooking the riverfront.
After five seasons, Flock will conclude operations as the property prepares for its next chapter.
“Flock was always about what was best for Alton, and with this transition, that continues to be true,” Windisch said. “This property has so much potential, and I’m excited about what the next chapter will bring. I think the plans for the space are cool, they build on what we started here and they will give local residents something new while bringing more visitors to Downtown Alton.”
Rex Encore, which owns Flock and the property at 210 Ridge Street, has signed a five-year lease with Alton-born Heaterz to create Heaterz Riverfront Cantina, a new year-round hospitality destination planned to open at the property in 2027. Plans include food and drinks, live music and entertainment, outdoor events and additional amenities.
“I’m grateful to Rex Encore, John Simmons and the entire team for their support over the years and for continuing to invest in Alton,” Windisch said. “I’m also looking forward to spending more time with my family, staying involved in the Alton community and eventually sharing some other projects I have in the works. But first, we have a full fall and holiday season ahead of us, and that is where my focus is.”
