Alexis Wilhite Achieves Her Goals at Civic Memorial High School

BETHALTO - Alexis Wilhite knows exactly what she hopes to accomplish, and she’s not stopping until she succeeds.

For her hard work, Alexis Wilhite is a DD Homes Network Student of the Month for Civic Memorial High School.

Wilhite, a senior, is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Eagles Network Community Outreach. Both of these groups emphasize service and giving back. She also recently joined Educators Rising and the FreshMentors programs, which allow her to mentor younger students.

Wilhite was inducted into the National Honor Society and the mathematics honor society Mu Alpha Theta. These groups require high grades and many hours of community service. Wilhite keeps her grades up and has maintained her spot on the high honor roll throughout high school.

This hard work has not gone unnoticed. Wilhite has received Eagle Pride Awards for her achievements on the track and volleyball teams.

In her free time, she enjoys playing pickleball, dog-sitting, and being with her friends and family. She has a part-time job and attends youth group at her church, New Hope Church, every week. She also serves in the kids’ ministry at New Hope.

This work has helped her as she prepares to graduate high school and embark on her next chapter. As they always do, her loved ones and teachers will be cheering her on.

“I plan to attend Evangel University next fall for a degree in church ministries,” she shared. “I want to be a children’s pastor.”

Congratulations to Alexis for this recognition by Civic Memorial High School and the DD Homes Network!
