BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. – Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias today announced the temporary closure of the Bridgeview DMV, located at 7358 W. 87th St., for renovations and an upgrade to the One-Stop-Shop model, which will provide residents with a faster, more convenient customer experience.

The temporary closure of the Bridgeview DMV will begin on Friday, October 9. Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 13, a temporary DMV Pop-Up at Worth Township Hall, located at 11601 S. Pulaski Road, will provide essential driver and vehicle services to area residents throughout the renovation.

“The Bridgeview DMV serves thousands of residents, and this renovation will create a more modern and efficient experience for customers and employees,” Giannoulias said. “By bringing the One-Stop-Shop model to Bridgeview, we’re making it easier for residents to complete the services they need in one place. In the meantime, the Pop-Up DMV will ensure residents can continue accessing essential driver and vehicle services throughout the renovation.”

The Worth Township Hall Pop-Up will be open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Services will include driver’s license applications and renewals, title and registration services, REAL ID applications and license plate sticker renewals.

Under the One-Stop-Shop model, employees are cross-trained to provide both driver and vehicle services, allowing customers to complete multiple transactions at a single counter and reducing the need to visit multiple service areas.

The Bridgeview DMV’s reopening date will be announced later this year.

Customers are encouraged to visit the Illinois Secretary of State’s website at www.ilsos.gov to schedule appointments and access online services.
