BETHALTO — The Breese Central Cougars defeated the Civic Memorial Eagles 2-0 in a girls league volleyball match Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, at Civic Memorial, winning the sets 25-18 and 25-15.

The Eagles, who are 16-7 overall and 2-3 in the conference, next face Jersey at home Wednesday night, Oct. 7, 2026. CM hosts Freeburg on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026.
Madelyn Luebbers was a dominant force for Breese Central against the Eagles with 10 kills.
Freeburg enters at 6-4 after a 2-1 league loss to Columbia.
