After entering his guilty plea, Roberts was released from custody and placed on Electronic Monitoring and home confinement conditions. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victim.

The Jersey County State’s Attorney’s office filed a Petition for Sanctions on Oct. 8, 2026. The petition states that while on pretrial release, Roberts violated the terms of his pretrial release by leaving his court-ordered home confinement on two occasions, including for 40 minutes on Sept. 16, 2026 and 43 minutes on Oct. 3, 2026.

Roberts was ordered to be imprisoned in the Jersey County Jail for a period not exceeding 30 days.

On Aug. 9, 2026, Roberts gathered with 18-year-old Hayden Womack and filmed the same victim as they were being attacked in the Jerseyville Mall parking lot with the intent to disseminate the recording. Roberts also raised his hand during the incident, thereby placing the victim in reasonable apprehension of receiving a battery.
