Eric Rybak is Major Leader at Father McGivney Catholic High School

GLEN CARBON - Eric Rybak is a leader in his school.

For his achievements, Eric Rybak is a Student of the Month for Father McGivney Catholic High School.

Rybak, a junior, has competed on the track and cross country teams since he was in fifth grade. He loves to run and earned second place in the 1A 4x800 relay in 2026. He was also a team state qualifier in cross country.

His academics are equally impressive. Rybak is a member of the scholar bowl and math teams. He is a regional champion in scholar bowl and a state qualifier for the math team.

He was also recently inducted into the National Honor Society, which requires high grades and many hours of community service. Rybak works hard to balance sports and school, and he does so gracefully.

Rybak is a house leader at Father McGivney, as well as a lector for Mass. These are major honors, and they speak to his responsibility, positivity, and eagerness to give back.

In his free time, Rybak offers guitar and piano lessons. He also participates in American jiu jitsu. He loves to water-ski, wakeboard and play his instruments.

He has big plans for the future. As they always do, his loved ones and teachers will be cheering him on.

“I hope to go to university for mechanical or aerospace engineering,” he shared.

Congratulations to Eric for this recognition by Father McGivney Catholic High School!
