BELLEVILLE - Callum McCoy works hard every day.

For his achievements, Callum McCoy is a Student of the Month for Althoff Catholic High School.

McCoy is the leader of Boy Scout Troop 8529. He is currently working toward his Eagle Scout designation, which is a tremendous accomplishment. He was elected senior patrol leader of his Boy Scout troop and was inducted into the Order of the Arrow, the Select Honors Society of Scouting.

At Althoff Catholic High School, McCoy is a senior who bowls and plays tennis. He is also a member of the scholar bowl and math teams.

He participates in the band program, where he plays saxophone, piano and drums. He has been an “avid” pianist for over 10 years, and he has received many awards for his musical talents.

He serves as a church minister at the high school, which speaks to his responsibility, kindness and faith.

McCoy is a speedcuber who picked up the interesting hobby over five years ago. He enjoys weightlifting, going on walks, listening to metal music and traveling. He has been to Rome and the Philippines.

Looking ahead, McCoy has big plans for after graduation. His teachers and loved ones will be cheering him on.

“After I graduate, I plan to go to college to hopefully become a chemical engineer,” he shared. “I also would like to visit other foreign countries, such as Greece and Japan.”

Congratulations to Callum for this recognition from Althoff Catholic High School!
