MADISON COUNTY - A truck-tractor semitrailer overturned along the right side of northbound Interstate 55 in Madison County on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, prompting a right-lane closure that ended about three hours later, according to preliminary information from Illinois State Police.
Illinois State Police Troop 8 responded to a report of the crash near milepost 38 at approximately 9:26 a.m. Saturday. No injuries were reported.

The right lane reopened at approximately 12:37 p.m. Saturday. Police did not provide a cause for the crash and said no further information was available.
