
BELLEVILLE - Althoff Catholic High School’s math team secured first place in its division for the fall season, capping off their successful run with strong individual and team performances at the final competition.

The event, held recently as part of the fall math competition series, saw several Althoff students achieve top rankings. Freshman Marlena Youngmeyer placed first individually, followed closely by fellow freshman Marshall Hagene in second and Mason Barnhart in fourth. Sophomore Grace Jansen also earned first place, with Andrew Dong taking second. Among juniors, Aaron Maresh finished second and Jacob Hug placed fifth.
Seniors contributed notable results as well. Christian Youngmeyer placed second individually, and alongside junior Callum McCoy, who placed fifth, and senior Joe Gedman, who finished seventh, helped demonstrate the depth of the team’s talent.
In the team competition, the group consisting of Christian Youngmeyer, Eric Bouc, Grace Jansen, and Marlena Youngmeyer captured first place, securing the overall top trophy for Althoff Catholic High School in their division for the fall season.
