Alton Minister Plans Halloween Livestream Reading of Entire New Testament

ALTON — Jeremiah James, host of Truth B Told Ministries, plans to read the entire New Testament aloud in a single, uninterrupted livestream beginning at 7 a.m. CDT Saturday, Oct. 31, on the ministry’s YouTube channel. The broadcast is expected to last more than 20 hours, continuing into Sunday, Nov. 1. James will read from the first chapter of Matthew through the final verse of Revelation.

The event is free and open to all. The reading follows Truth B Told’s first Halloween reading in 2025. Organizers say its goal is to fill Halloween with Scripture.

“We’re going to open the Word of God and read all of it, Matthew to Revelation, and we’re not stopping until it’s finished,” James said. “Scripture still changes lives, and I want people to hear it for themselves.”

Viewers can join at any time at [youtube.com/@Truth_B_Told_Official](https://www.youtube.com/@Truth_B_Told_Official). James invites them to read along, listen while they work or travel, participate in the live chat, pray for one another and share the broadcast. He also encourages people who have not opened a Bible in years to take part.

“Whether you join us for 10 minutes or stay with us all day, come read with us, pray with us, and let God speak through His Word,” James said.

Those unable to watch are invited to pray for the team throughout the reading. The ministry cites Hebrews 4:12 as the event’s guiding passage: “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (English Standard Version)

Truth B Told Ministries is a Christian media platform led by James. It offers Christian commentary, cultural analysis, biblical teaching and interviews with ministry leaders. The ministry reports more than 525,000 YouTube subscribers. More information is available at truthbtold.tv.
