Belleville East Girls Volleyball Concludes 30-Win Season In Sectional Against Normal Community

CLASS 4A

In the O'Fallon Sectional final at the OTHS Panther Dome, Normal Community took a 25-22, 23-25, 25-12 win over Belleville East to go to the Bradley-Bourbonnais super-sectional.

The Iron are now 34-5, and will go against Chicago Marist Catholic, a 26-24, 25-22 winner in the Richton Park Rich Township sectional final over Chicago Mother McAuley Catholic, Monday at 6 p.m.

The Lancers finish up at 30-9, an outstanding overall record for the season. Abby Hanger is the Belleville East head girls' volleyball coach.

Belleville East won the regional championship to advance to the sectional over O'Fallon, then beat Edwardsville in its sectional semifinal match at O'Fallon.
