
BELLEVILLE - The Belleville Police Department recognized three employees as recipients of its 2025 awards during a City Council meeting held this week, honoring an officer, a detective and a civilian staff member for their service to the Belleville community.

The department said Officer Frantz was named Officer of the Year, Detective Hackleman was named Detective of the Year, and Telecommunicator Potrawski was named Civilian Staff Member of the Year.
“Each recipient has distinguished themselves among others, and they embody the high standards and pride we have in serving the Belleville community,” the Belleville Police Department said in a statement. “These individuals have shown exceptional dedication, professionalism, and service to the BPD and to the community.”
The department also invited the public to recognize the honorees, saying, “Please join us in congratulating these individuals.”
