Charges Issued for Possession of Weapon, Explosive or Hazardous Material on Bus or in Terminal
Christopher Crawford was apprehended at a Metro station carrying a loaded stolen firearm, leading to serious felony accusations from local authorities.
ST. LOUIS COUNTY - On Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office issued charges against suspect Christopher Crawford, 27, of the 7400 block of Vermont Avenue in St. Louis, MO. 63111, for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Weapon, Explosive or Hazardous Material on Bus or in Terminal, and Resisting/Interfering with Arrest for a Felony.

Crawford is being held on a $500,000 cash-only, no 10% bond.
The probable cause statement reads: "On November 12, 2025, Officer observed Defendant at the 4300 N Hanley Metro station smoking next to the bus stall. Officer attempted to contact Defendant. Defendant observed Officer and walked away. Defendant then came back to the Officer after seeing other Officer. Officer asks to see Defendant's ID.
"While Defendant was getting his ID, Officer was able to observe the shape of a gun in Defendant possession. As the Officer was getting ready to inquire if Defendant had any weapons, the Defendant fled from Police. Defendant jumped a fence and went onto the tracks and climbed onto the platform. Officers were able to successfully taser the Defendant to stop him from fleeing any more. Officers took Defendant into custody. Search of Defendant revealed S&W MP 40 Shield, which was loaded and had a round in the chamber. Record check of the firearm revealed it was stolen."
St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Transit Police officers are handling this investigation.
