EAST ST. LOUIS — The East St. Louis Flyers continued their dominant football season with a decisive 49-0 IHSA Class 6A quarterfinals victory over Chicago Simeon on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, at their home field in East St. Louis.

The Flyers are set to face St. Laurence in the state semifinals at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, in Burbank, Illinois.

The Saturday matchup marks another step toward what appears to be a promising run for the state championship.

Adding to the game-day atmosphere, the Flyers’ cheer and dance teams, along with their pep band, energized the crowd throughout the contest. Their spirited performances have become a staple of the East St. Louis football experience, providing motivation and enthusiasm for both the team and the fans.
