GRANITE CITY - Collinsville’s eighth-grade baseball squad edged Granite City Coolidge 5-4 on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, at Granite City, behind strong pitching and timely offense in a tight game.

Nathan Owen led Collinsville on the mound with seven strikeouts over 15 outs, while Parker Steward/Drake Elam added six strikeouts over six outs. Collinsville pitchers totaled 13 strikeouts and two walks.

Max Nail had a multi-hit game with two hits, and Bland added an extra-base hit with a double.

Collinsville is scheduled to play O’Fallon Fulton at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at Cahokia High School in the 3A Region 16 IESA Eighth-Grade Baseball Tourney.
