EDWARDSVILLE - Lt. Brian Stipcak is retiring from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office after more than 25 years of community service, the agency announced on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said Stipcak, who held the rank of lieutenant, spent his career focused on “the mentoring and growth of fellow officers.”

“After 25-plus years of dedicated community service, we congratulate Lt. Brian Stipcak on his retirement,” the sheriff’s office said.

Stipcak has been a true "Difference Maker" in the region during his 25 years of service.

According to the post, Stipcak was promoted to sergeant in 2013 and to lieutenant in 2022. The sheriff’s office said he served as a member of the ILEAS Mobile Field Force and worked as a Field Training Officer and Training Coordinator.

“Thank you, Lieutenant, for your leadership, mentorship, and unwavering service,” the sheriff’s office said. “We wish you a happy and healthy retirement.”
