Difference Maker: Madison County’s Director of Special Operations Rizzi Ends Distinguished Law Career
Madison County Sheriff’s Office honors Director Rizzi for his decades of dedicated service and leadership in special operations and police departments.
EDWARDSVILLE - After 42 years of law enforcement service, Director Robert Rizzi has retired from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, officials have announced.

Director Rizzi concluded his career after serving as Director of Special Operations at the Madison County Sheriff’s Office for the past 11 years.
Rizzi has been a definite Difference Maker in his region in his different law enforcement capacities.
Prior to joining the sheriff’s office, he worked as an officer at the Livingston Police Department and later at the Troy Police Department, where he advanced through the ranks to become chief of police before retiring from that position.
The Madison County Sheriff, Jeff Connor, Deputy Chief Sheriff Marcos Pulido, and staff extended congratulations to Director Rizzi after his long and distinguished law enforcement career.
"We wish him happiness in his well-deserved retirement," the sheriff's office said.
