The crash was a single-car accident and oddly, near a previous tanker spill accident two weeks ago.
Alton Police Chief Jason Simmons said the driver appeared to be a DUI and left the roadway and crashed into a storage tank just off the roadway. The tank was used as a holding container for the tanker spill two weeks ago. The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and it was not believed any fuel leaked again to the creek.
