Edison's Entertainment Complex Female Athlete Of Month: Bella Bollman Is Key Senior For EHS Volleyball

EDWARDSVILLE - Outside hitter Bella Bollman is one of two returning seniors to the girls volleyball team at Edwardsville High School, and is looking forward to her final season with the Tigers and expects to establish a leadership role within the club for this season.

Bollman felt that the workouts were going well, and was very excited for her senior campaign, which is about to begin.

"I am really excited," Bollman said. "It's been a lot of fun, four years, and I'm really excited for the next year, and seeing how well we can do."

Bollman is an Edison's Entertainment Complex Female Athlete of the Month for the Tigers.

Bollman's hopes and expectations for herself and the team are based in one simple word: accountability.

"I hope to hold my team accountable, and have fun," Bollman said, "but also to be aggressive, and hopefully win the (Southwestern) conference championship, and really just have fun."

It will be an interesting season in the SWC, with the return of Granite City to the league, and expansion as the conference welcomes both Triad and Mascoutah this season. Bollman is looking ahead to the new challenges.

"I think it's fine," Bollman said, "because it's more of an opportunity to play more teams, and have a lot of fun."

Bollman sees her role on the team in 2025 as more of a leadership role, while at the same time, having fun playing the game.

"I think it is going to be to hold my team accountable, again," Bollman said, "and really make sure we are competing, and having fun."

She is definitely very enthusiastic and excited to be playing in her senior season, and is looking ahead to seeing how things play out on the courts.

"Yes, I am so excited," Bollman said. "I think we'll do really well as a team, and I think it'll be a lot of fun. I am excited."
