Gaming Machine, Alton Home Targeted Among Madison County Property Damage Cases

EAST ALTON – Multiple cases of property damage across Madison County have resulted in felony charges filed against residents from around the Riverbend.

Ian M. Lindsay, 44, with no listed address, was charged on April 20, 2026 with a Class 4 felony count of criminal damage to property.

Lindsay allegedly knowingly caused over $500 worth of damage to a gaming machine on Feb. 27, 2026. The machine, which is listed as property of J&J Gaming, was located at 13 S. Stanley Road in East Alton.

The East Alton Police Department presented the case against Lindsay, who was ordered released from custody pending trial.

28-year-old Dustin M. Bracey of Bethalto also faces a Class 4 felony count of criminal damage to property in a case filed on April 22, 2026.

Bracey is accused of knowingly damaging drywall, a stairwell railing, kitchen cabinets, and several bedroom doors of an Alton residence in the 600 block of Ridge Street. Charging documents state the resulting damage totaled over $500.

Bracey was also ordered released from custody pending trail in the case presented by the Alton Police Department.

Cottage Hills resident Dallas E. Zimmerman, 35, was charged on April 23, 2026 with one count of criminal damage to property, also a Class 4 felony.

Zimmerman reportedly caused over $500 worth of damage to multiple windows of a 2011 Ford Fiesta bearing an Illinois registration number on March 27, 2026.

The Edwardsville Police Department presented the case against Zimmerman, who was ordered released from custody pending trial.

In another case from April 23, 2026, Dennis L. Culver, 60, listed as homeless out of Granite City, was charged with a Class 4 felony count of criminal damage to property. He allegedly caused over $500 worth of damage to a wooden “welcome” sign and a glass/metal screen door on April 11, 2026.

Culver was also ordered released from custody in the case presented by the Granite City Police Department.

All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
