IHSA 2A-3A State Boys Track and Field Prelims Summary

CHARLESTON - This is a wrap-up of the IHSA 2A and 3A Boys State Track and Field Prelims on Friday, May 29, 2026.

IHSA Class 2A

Jersey's Bradley Tueth was one of the area headliners on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the IHSA 2A Boys State Track and Field Meet prelims. He placed fourth in the prelims in the 400 with a time of 49.44.

Civic Memorial's Glenn Collins was second in the 800-meter prelims with a time of 1:54.35, and teammate Tullio Zamperi was sixth (1:55.22).

Roxana's Zane Losch placed ninth (47.71 meters) in the discus prelims and advanced to the finals.

In the 100 meters, East St. Louis' Myson Johnson-Cook came in second with a time of 10.67.

Jayden McCallum of Cahokia had the top 200-meter prelims time of 21.43.

Civic Memorial's Max Weber was sixth in the 1,600 meters prelims with a time of 4:16.28 to qualify for Saturday's finals. He will also run in Saturday's 3,200-meter finals.

Nigel Gooden of Cahokia was third in the 110-meter high hurdles prelims (14.84). Triad was third in the 4 x 100 relay with a time of 42.25, and East St. Louis was sixth in the 4 x 100 relay with a time of 41.96.

Roxana was 15th in the 4 x 800 relay with a time of 8:07.81.

Triad's Zane Meier advanced in the pole vault, clearing 4.20 meters.

Marquette Catholic's Jack Beaber was 16th in the shot put in the prelims (15.46 meters) and 17th in the discus (45.82 meters).

Morquez Bulliner of East St. Louis was in second place with a time of 47.68 in the 400 meters.

IHSA Class 3A

Edwardsville's Gavin Stukenberg (shot put) and Parker Owens (pole vault) advanced to Saturday's 3A finals.

Edwardsville's Stukenberg (17.66 meters) was sixth and advanced in the shot put and Owens in the pole vault (clearing 4.5 meters) on Friday from the prelims.

Stukenberg was 13th in the discus (49.43 meters) and missed qualifying for finals.

Edwardsville's Cooper Wittek was 18th in the 1,600 meters (4:20.44). Landon Harris of Granite City was 24th (4:27.69).

In the 110-meter high hurdles, Belleville East's Daylin Donaldson was third (13.96) and Belleville West's Jayln Cole was fourth (14.08). Donaldson was first (37.08) in the 300-meter low hurdles.

Belleville West and Belleville East advanced in the 4 x 100 relay with a time of 40.99.

Belleville West was fourth in the 4 x 400 relay (3:16.88).

Edwardsville's 4 x 200 relay finished 23rd and missed the finals (1:28.44), the 4 x 400 relay was 24th (3:22.08) and the 4 x 800 relay (7:54.31) was 19th.

The Tigers' Dean Williams placed 31st in the long jump (6.15 meters).

Aidan Bennett of Edwardsville was 18th in the 400 (48.29).

Brandon Houston placed 34th in the 300-hurdle prelims (15.52).
