Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo and Show Choir Performances Mark Busy Season For Jersey Musicians

JCHS students are bringing competitive talent beyond school walls as the district expands its presence at area gatherings.

JERSEYVILLE - Jersey Community Unit School District No. 100 music groups are taking their performances to local community events, with the Jazz Combo playing this past week at the JCH Duck Derby and the Show Choir and jazz groups performing Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026, at the Calhoun County Fair, the district said.

The Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo and Show Choir have “started making the rounds” at local events, the district said.

The groups’ next scheduled performance is Sunday at the Harvest Fest.

The district said the Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo, and Show Choir are highly competitive and had considerable success in competitions last school year. The group has high expectations for 2026-27.
