ALTON - Jenna Redman has only been an Alton Redbird for a year, but she’s already making a big impact.
For her hard work, Jenna Redman is a Hayner Public Library District Student of the Month for Alton High School.
Redman, a freshman, has joined the Student Council. She also participates on the bowling team and plays for the soccer team.
It’s a lot of work to balance school and sports, but Redman does so gracefully. She has maintained her position on the high honor roll every semester since sixth grade.
She previously attended St. Mary’s, where she still volunteers sometimes. In eighth grade, her volleyball team went to state, of which she is very proud.
Outside of school, Redman babysits and mows lawns. She loves playing soccer, volleyball and tennis with her friends. They also play video games, and Redman regularly films vlogs of their hangouts, which she really enjoys. She loves anything crafty and rides electric scooters, four-wheelers and bikes whenever she gets the chance.
She is still deciding exactly what she wants to do after high school, but she has a pretty good idea and can’t wait for this next step. Her teachers and loved ones will be eager to see her succeed.
“After graduation, as of right now, I plan on going to college to work in the medical field,” she shared.
Congratulations to Jenna for this recognition by Alton High School and the Hayner Public Library District!
