
JERSEYVILLE - More than 100 underclassmen from Jersey Community High School toured several key government and public service locations in Jerseyville recently.

The students visited the Jersey County Courthouse, Jersey County Government Building, City Hall, the City of Jerseyville Police and Fire departments, and the recently renovated Jerseyville Public Library.
During the tour, students learned about various careers, community resources, current initiatives, operating procedures, roles of elected officials, and summer employment opportunities. The experience aimed to provide the students with a deeper understanding of local government functions and public services.
School officials expressed gratitude to local leaders for facilitating the educational opportunity. The district noted, “We owe a huge thank you to our local leaders for allowing this to happen.”
