Jersey Middle Students Donate $5,000 To Local American Legion Posts

JERSEYVILLE – Jersey Community Middle School students ran to raise thousands in funds for a great cause once again this year.

Members of the Jersey Community Middle School Student Council held this year’s Wounded Warrior Run on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025. The annual event raises funds to support the Jerseyville and Grafton American Legion posts, and has seen thousands raised for both organizations in recent years.

This year’s dedicated group of students raised a total of $5,000, which was evenly split between the Jerseyville and Grafton American Legions for a $2,500 donation made to each post.

In a social media announcement on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 13, 2025, the Jersey Community Unit School District (CUSD) #100 thanked each of this year’s participants for making the 2025 Wounded Warrior Run another successful event.

The school district also congratulated the top-earning students for each grade level, including Kennadi Bland of 5th grade, Landon Wilson of 6th grade and Willow McNelly of 7th grade.
