The device simulates situations in which firefighters become entangled in wiring and cables while wearing full protective gear. This hands-on training tool is designed to prepare firefighters for the real-life challenges they may encounter on the job.
“This is a disentanglement prop for our firefighters to use for training purposes and will be used in our upcoming camp coming in September 2026,” said a representative from the fire district.
The training prop was developed as part of an ongoing effort to enhance firefighter preparedness and safety. Pictured with the students are Firefighter Matt Schulte and Captain Darr, who are involved with the training program.
