Madison County Sheriff’s Office Announces Key Promotions

Three deputies receive new roles as the department strengthens leadership across patrol and investigations divisions.

EDWARDSVILLE - The Madison County Sheriff’s Office announced the promotions of three deputies, effective immediately, recognizing their contributions and assigning them to new roles within the department.

Detective Matt Werner has been promoted to captain and will serve as the patrol commander. Detective Jared Fravell has been elevated to lieutenant and will continue his work in the investigations division.

Detective Jason Thatcher has been promoted to sergeant and will also remain in Investigations.

The Sheriff’s Office extended congratulations to the newly promoted officers and expressed support as they assume their new responsibilities.
