Wiley, a senior, has played softball since she was 6 years old. She has played on Edwardsville’s team since she was a freshman. She is incredibly passionate about the sport and always puts her best effort into every practice and game. It takes a lot of work to become such a successful player, but Wiley has pushed herself to the point of excelling.

Students require plenty of dedication and responsibility to manage both academics and athletics, and Wiley has both. She balances these obligations with grace.

She goes above and beyond every day and proves herself as a committed student athlete. It’s important to Wiley to represent the school well, and she always does.

Outside of school, Wiley enjoys reading, watching movies and television, and spending time with her loved ones, including her dog.

She knows exactly what she plans to do after graduation. Just as they do during her games, her loved ones and teachers will be rooting for her.

“I plan to go to Blackburn College to play softball and study business administration with an emphasis on human resources,” she shared.

Congratulations to Marissa for this recognition by Edwardsville High School!
