Midwest Members Names Connor Strebler As 'Oiler Of The Month'

WOOD RIVER - Midwest Members Credit Union is proud to sponsor the “Oiler of the Month” program at East Alton-Wood River High School. A senior student is selected each month by members of EAWR faculty.

Each student is awarded a certificate and a Subway gift card. The Seniors selected each month will have the opportunity to compete for a $1,000.00 “Oiler of the Year” scholarship at the end of the school year. November's winner is Connor Strebler.

Connor is a Senior at EAWR and is involved in Bank, Theater/Drama, Scholastic Bowl, Spirit Club, Senior Mentors, TMHFA, National Honor Society, Peer Leadership and E-Sports. Connor has received honors for Gold Level Renaissance, ILMEA District 6 Musician, "Best Actor" (24-25), DAR Youth Award.

In Connor's free time, he enjoys volunteering at the East Alton Soap Box Derby helping kids learn how to "drive" and keep them safe, monitoring kids activities at the Hartford Library and Singing to Veterans on Veterans Day. After graduation, Connor is planning on attending either Saint Louis University or Loyola University Chicago. Connor would like to major in forensic science. Connor would also like to sing in a local band to continue his passion for Music.
