ROXANA — The Roxana Fire Department responded to a structure fire Wednesday morning, Dec. 3, 2025, in the 200 block of West Tydeman Street.

When firefighters arrived, they encountered heavy fire and smoke coming from a shed and carport.

A box alarm was called, bringing assistance from the Wood River, South Roxana, and Rosewood Heights fire departments.

Firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze, which had spread to the back of the house. Meanwhile, the Edwardsville Fire Department staffed the Roxana fire station during the response.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and no injuries were reported.
