BOYS BOWLING

MARQUETTE CATHOLIC 20.5, CENTRALIA CHRIST OUR ROCK LUTHERAN 18.5: Corbin Barnard threw a 595 series, while Logan Sherman added a 509 set to help Marquette win over COR at Bowl Haven Lanes.

Barnard's series had a high game of 238, while Sherman had a high game of 195. In addition, Landon Weirich threw a 477 series, with a high game of 167, and Gavin Tinsley had a 443 set, with a high game of 151.

In a meet on Wednesday, Collinsville defeated Belleville West 26-14, and on Thursday, the Kahoks stopped Alton 32-8.

GIRLS BOWLING

On Wednesday afternoon at Camelot Lanes, Collinsville won over Belleville West 39-1, then on Thursday, it was the Kahoks getting past Alton 21-19.

JERSEY BOWLING RESULTS

JCHS Girls and Boys Bowling teams hosted the Waterloo Bulldogs. The Varsity Boys were defeated 2635–2973, with Aaron Hughes rolling the high game and Hayden Longley leading the team with a 586 series. The JV Boys also fell 1372–1839. On the girls’ side, the Varsity Lady Panthers narrowly lost 2098–2208, highlighted by a 191 high game and a 523 series from Mila Lancaster. The JV Girls secured the win 1523–1294.

BOYS BASKETBALL

In the area's only boys game played on Thursday, Roxana won over Breese Central 42-29.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

FATHER MCGIVNEY CATHOLIC 62, CENTRALIA CHRIST OUR ROCK LUTHERAN 16: At COR's gym, McGivney staked out to a 19-7 first quarter lead, then extended it at halftime to 39-10 in going on to the Gateway Metro Conference road win.

Alexa Jones led the Griffins with 17 points, while Elle Willenborg added 10 points.

McGivney is now 7-1, while the Silver Stallions fall to 0-3.

CARLINVILLE 69, VANDALIA 47: Carlinville trailed after the first quarter 17-15, then outscored Vandalia the rest of the way 53-30 to take the South Central Conference win at the Carlinville Big House.

Kaitlyn Reels led the Cavaliers with 23 points, while Sylvee Gibbs had 14 points, Lexie O'Brien scored 12 points, and Ruthie Reels hit for 11 points.

Carlinville is now 3-6, while the Vandals slide to 2-6.

Recapping the remainder of the Thursday fixtures, Breese Central defeated Roxana 66-22, Alton won over visiting Edwardsville 67-43, Dupo won over Riverview Gardens of north St. Louis County 45-30, Marissa-Coulterville defeated Valmeyer 55-21, O'Fallon won over Collinsville 60-28, Calhoun won over Pittsfield 45-30 and Carrollton went to 8-2 on the season with a 52-34 win over Barry Western.

BOYS WRESTLING

In a triangular meet at the Jon Davis Wrestling Center, Edwardsville won over Hillsboro, Mo., 53-12, and East St. Louis 72-5. In the meet against Hillsboro, Edwardsville's Ryan Richie became the 34th wrestler in program history to win 100 bouts, a historic milestone.

In another boys' meet on Thursday, Collinsville won over O'Fallon 59-17.
