CARLYLE - A fundraiser has been launched to help pay funeral and memorial expenses for Sadie Tull, a 41-year-old Carlyle business owner who was found shot to death on March 4, 2026, inside her home on Fairfax Street, as the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis investigates the killing.

Myrna Piehl organized the fundraiser following Tull’s death. Authorities said detectives have followed up on dozens of leads and are asking anyone with information to contact investigators.

In the GoFundMe description, Tull is remembered as “a fiercely independent woman, a talented dog groomer and artist, and above all, a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt.”

Piehl's information says Tull “poured her love into her work and her family, especially her brothers and nieces, and was known for her deep compassion for animals.” It adds that “her two dogs were her constant companions.”

“Tragically, Sadie and her two dogs were taken from us far too soon by an unknown assailant,” the information says.

The fundraiser states that the family is facing “the unexpected burden of funeral expenses and the costs of honoring Sadie's memory.”

“Your contributions will help us cover the costs of Sadie's funeral and memorial services, and will give those who loved her a way to help and honor her memory,” the post says.

The GoFundMe description also asks people to avoid sharing unconfirmed information.

“The investigation into her death is ongoing, and we kindly ask that you refrain from posting anything that has not been confirmed,” it says.
