Roxana Sets Up Championship Clash with Marissa after Win

DUPO — The Roxana Lady Shells secured a spot in the championship game of the Dupo Cat Classic after defeating Mt. Olive 57-34 on Thursday night.

Roxana maintained a narrow 10-6 lead after the first quarter and increased their advantage to 20-14 by halftime.

The Lady Shells then extended their lead to 34-18 in the third quarter, limiting Mt. Olive to just four points during that period. In the final quarter, Roxana outscored Mt. Olive 23-16 to seal the victory.

Leah Newton led Roxana with 21 points, followed by Josie Brannon with 10 points. Mt. Olive’s top scorer was Lauren Bailey.

Roxana will face Marissa in the championship game at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025.
