St. Clair County: Lane Closure On Northbound I-255 Over St. Clair Avenue October 26–29, 2026  

COLLINSVILLE – The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced lane restrictions will be encountered on northbound I-255 over St. Clair Avenue in East St. Louis beginning Monday, October 26, weather permitting. The right lane will be closed to allow Keeley and Sons Construction to perform emergency bridge repairs. All lanes are expected to reopen by 7 a.m. on Thursday, October 29.

Motorists can expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes during this closure. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
