St. Clair County Officials Investigate Morning Shooting Incident

Dispatch received reports of gunfire resulting in two victims; police quickly arrived to manage the emergency situation in St. Clair County.

BELLEVILLE — Two people were shot Saturday morning, Nov. 15, 2025, at an apartment building on Woodcliffe Drive in unincorporated St. Clair County, the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office said.

At approximately 11:57 a.m. on Nov. 15, the St. Clair County CENCOM emergency operations center received a 911 call reporting a disturbance at an apartment complex in the 7700 block of Woodcliffe Drive.

Dispatchers learned that several shots had been fired, resulting in two victims suffering gunshot wounds.

Officers from the Belleville Police Department arrived shortly after the initial calls to assist. Both victims were transported to a local hospital in serious condition, according to Lt. James Hendricks of the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department.

Detectives with the sheriff’s department are currently investigating the incident.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the department at 618-825-2051 to speak with an investigator.
