
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — An adult male was killed early Friday morning, Nov. 21, 2025, in an officer-involved shooting at St. Louis Lambert International Airport, authorities said.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:05 a.m. in Terminal 1 when STL Airport Police officers conducting routine security checks encountered the man armed with a knife. According to the St. Louis County Police Department, the suspect refused to drop the weapon and was tased by one officer.
St. Louis County Police said that despite the use of the Taser, the man continued to advance toward officers, prompting a second officer to fire his service weapon, striking the suspect.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives from the St. Louis County Police Bureau of Crimes Against Persons have taken over the investigation. The two STL Airport Police officers involved have been with the department for six months and one year, respectively, and both have prior law enforcement experience.
