Today's Weather: Warm, humid day with an evening storm chance

Wednesday starts cloudy and mild, with temperatures in the upper 60s early and light wind that will not do much to move the air around. It may feel a little warmer than the thermometer at times this morning, with feels like readings near 72.

By afternoon, clouds will break at times and help push the temperature up to a high near 84. It will stay humid, but most of the day looks dry, with only a small chance of rain. Winds will stay light out of the north-northeast at around 7 mph, with gusts up to 13 mph.

During the evening, the weather stays quiet at first, then the chance for rain goes up. A spotty thunderstorm is possible, mainly later in the evening, with rain chances around 55 percent. If you have plans outside, it would be smart to keep an eye on the sky.

Overnight, any evening storm should fade, leaving partly cloudy skies and a low around 61 by early Thursday. Winds will stay light, and the night should turn calmer after any brief rain.

Tree pollen is running at a moderate level today, while grass, mold and ragweed are low.

Thursday brings a high near 85 and a low around 64, with a warm mix of clouds and some sunshine during the day before another late thunderstorm chance moves in at night.
