Tom Lane State Farm Insurance Female Athlete Of The Month: CM Girls Cross Country Benefits From Wiley’s Leadership

BETHALTO - Olivia Wiley, a sophomore cross country runner, was recognized as the Civic Memorial Female Runner of the Year at the Alton Road Runners Banquet on Sunday night, Nov. 30, 2025.

Wiley, who served as the team’s number one runner throughout the season, posted a personal record time of 20 minutes, 36.1 seconds for three miles on Sept. 27, 2025, at the Freeburg Invitational.

Wiley is a Tom Lane State Farm Insurance Female Athlete Of The Month for CM.

Civic Memorial Head Cross Country Coach Jake Peel praised Wiley’s performance during the season, describing it as “phenomenal.”

Wiley also recorded a time of 20:52.2 at the IHSA 2A Regional and finished 15th at the Triad Cross Country Invite on Oct. 1 with a time of 22:03.06.

Wiley’s achievements contributed significantly to the Civic Memorial girls' cross country team’s competitive season, highlighting her as a key athlete for the program. The future looks very bright for this Civic Memorial distance runner in both cross country and track and field.
